Information About Caroline:


Personal Description:

These have all been gained at Queen's University, Belfast.

- 2004-2007: PhD entitled 'Sons of Ulster: Masculinities in the Contemporary Northern Irish Novel'.

- In 2006 I was the recipient of the Margaret Cuthbert Frazer award for excellence in the criticism of Northern Irish writing.

- 2003-2004: MA in English (Irish Writing).

- 2000-2003: BA in English .



Teaching Experience:

- In the second semester of 2006, 2007 and 2008 I taught 'Introduction to Irish Literature' to second years at Queen's University, Belfast.

- In the second semester 2008 I am teaching on a new first year module 'Sounds of the City', which focuses on the urban experience in literature in a variety of texts. I will also give a lecture on this module, based on the urban in Belfast literature.



Tutoring Approach:

I pride myself on being approachable yet extremely knowledgeable in my area of study, my students' results are testament to this.
