Personal Description:
Having taught in mainstream primary schools in London and also gaining experience in special needs I am now training as an Educational Psychologist. I am a relaxed, understanding and enthusiastic tutor who strives to create a fun yet challenging learning environment. I will travel to you or tutor from home.
Teaching Experience:
I am an experienced primary teacher having taught in London Schools in Keystage One and the Foundation Stage. I have a strong interest in special needs and have experience of working with children with specific learning difficulties, social and communication difficulties and behavioural problems.
Tutoring Approach:
I strongly believe in structuring my teaching to the needs of the individual to allow each child to fufil their potential. I aim to create a positive and fun learning environment to boost self confidence by focusing on your child's strengths. Through my primary background I have a working knowledge of the academic requirements that your child will be facing at school through the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategy. I am experienced in teaching crucial literacy skills such as phonics to improve reading, writing and spelling. I have experience of working with special needs and am happy to concentrate on the range of skills that you feel your child needs to work on. I will work with children from 4 to 11.
