Personal Description:
My name is Joe and i have recently (July 2012) graduated from the University of Leeds with a 1st in Maths. During my time at university i tutored first year students calculus 1 and calculus 2 as well as geometry and algebra. I am willing to tutot A level maths Core 1 2 3 and 4 as well as Discrete 1 and 2. Regarding University teaching, I would be willing to help with first and second year corses focused on pure mathematics, I.E Algebras, Analysisl; real and complex, and Calculus.
Teaching Experience:
During my time at university i have tutored U.K and U.S students. In Leeds i helped first year students with calculus and differential equations, as well as Linear Algebra and basic stats. In America i tutored freshmen and juniors (age 18,19) in subjects including calculus 1 and 2 (intermediate).
Tutoring Approach:
Due to the fact i do not have vast experience, i feel that 10 pound an hour is a reasonable sum, and the first lesson will be free so that you can decide whether the sessions will help without breaking into your money. I will go through past exams, problem sheets and help with any technical issues. Any uncertainty in theory or application can be addressed.
