Personal Description:
I am a fifth year medical student at Imperial College London and recently completed my BSC degree in healthcare management from Imperial Business School.
During my school career I achieved 8 A* and 4 A's. Furthermore I achieved 1 A* and 3 A's during my A levels, additionally I also achieved another A at As level in Further Maths. My AS physics grade was the best in my year achieving. 296/300 UMS. I have participated in the UK maths challenge achieving the bronze and silver award.
Teaching Experience:
I helped teach many students from younger years in a range of subjects and enjoyed watching them progress and improve. I think the fact that having just been through what most of these students are going through gives me a slight advantage due to my knowledge being recent and up to date. I also have experience in teaching A-level Maths as well as GCSE Maths.
I have previously served on Imperial College's Interview Panel for Medicine as there student representative and thus have an extensive insight into the interview process, the typical questions asked and the factors that differentiate candidates. I am ex-president of one of Imperial largest education society running a host of events including PotMed, a workshop attended by more than 200 secondary school students aimed at helping individuals in there medical school application process.
Tutoring Approach:
I am patient and calm in my approach and try to ensure that each of my students understands the concepts of what I am teaching. I appreciate that each student is different and the approach taken to each of them must remain flexible.
