Personal Description:

I am a Spanish guy 36 years old. I am bachelor degree in philosophy, and I have studied it at the universities of Valencia (Spain), Birmingham and Sheffield (uk).
I have recently got a diploma in teaching Spanish as foreign language at Instituto Cervantes of Leeds. Instituto Cervantes is the equivalent in Spain to the British Council in England.
I have also made a postgraduate course on pedagogy skills.
I really like teaching. I want that the student got the command of both, the content of the subject and of the method and skills to study it by himself.
I support my classes with on-line material and I am able to contact by e-mail.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently teaching Spanish in tutorials to several students in Chesterfield, who are happy with my teaching. I can provide their email adreeses if you wanted references.
I taught Spanish culture and history of Spanish art to international students from the State University of New York at a centre of international studies in Valencia, Spain.I have as well taught in tutorials from 2006 in the subjects of Spanish, Catalan and English languages. I give support lessons to students from 8 to 20 years old in these last subjects and in the fields of philosophy, history, literature and humanities.
I have also taught in a Secondary school in Valencia, Spain, teaching history, English language and social sciences to students from 13 to 18 years old.

Tutoring Approach:

The course of Spanish I offer consists of ten units and each one of them is supported with more than one hundred links to exercises and videos on-line. If you are interested I can provide you the material for the first unit as a free example.

You can chose one of two modalities of classes either tutorial (15 pounds per hour) or in a class of five people (9 pounds per hour) that will take place at Isis Noir Bar, in Corporation Street, in Chesterfield city centre.

Qualifications:

• Postgraduate in pedagogy skills and bachelor degree in philosophy
• Postgraduate certificate in teaching Spanish as foreign language
