Personal Description:
I am an actor. I studied Modern Languages (French and Spanish) at the University of Durham which included time living and studying in Vigo (Spain) and Clermont-Ferrand (France) and then Acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
Teaching Experience:
Following completion of my CELTA qualification in Spain in 2007 (which involved teaching adult learners of English), I have variety of experience in teaching from helping fellow students at University, teaching English in a French Lyce and at summer school in the UK.
Tutoring Approach:
The important part of tutoring is creating a more individual approach to learning and the subject or subjects. I feel it is important to discover what about the subject interests the tutee or how we can hook the topic to the individual so that you feel the desire to learn more about the subject of your own accord. It is important that learning is fun and not a chore and so, as well as thoroughly working towards any coming assessments, I like to work around the subject to find what it is about the subject is important to you so that the learning becomes grounded in the individual which gives a deeper knowledge and understanding of the subject.
