Personal Description:

I am 26 years old and have lived in the UK my whole life. I experienced the full UK education system, including Sats, GCSEs and As and A2 Levels, giving me 1st hand experience of what students at all levels are going through. I attended university in Newcastle upon Tyne where I completes and Bachelors degree in Mathematics, providing me with extremely strong knowledge of mathematics. I currently live in North West London.

Teaching Experience:

I completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at King's College London (one of the most highly regarded teacher training institutes in the UK). This has given me the experience and training in the most modern teaching techniques. I currently work at a Comprehensive secondary school in West London where I teach pupils of all abilities and across the age range of the school (11-18). I also have experience in other schools in London, including an academically selective school, with most pupils achieving the highest academic levels.

This year pupils who I taught all either met, or in most cases exceded their target grades at GCSE. I am also familiar with the new GCSE specification (pupils sitting GCSE in 2012).

Tutoring Approach:

I Tailor all teaching to the individual tutees, taking into account their currently abilities, material being taught in school, and any pending examinations. The most important thing to me is to ensure that all tutees have a thorough understanding of mathematics, preparing them for exams and any future courses.

I provide all materials, and as I currently teach pupils across all levels, have access to the latest exercises, exam papers and techniques.

I keep all communication channels open, including with the tutee parents and, if necessary, class teacher, to ensure that tutees have the best experience and get the most out of my tutoring.
