Joanne - Clydebank tutor
Information About Joanne:
Personal Description:
I am a young and enthusiastic English teacher living in Glasgow. I enjoy travelling and have lived in Spain teaching English as a Foreign Language. I like to learn new languages and have travelled extensively through Europe and have also visited countries on the African continent. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, watching films and I like to keep active by going to the gym and cycling.
Teaching Experience:
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and have worked in Secondary schools in Scotland. I am confident in teaching the Scottish curriculum, particularly at Higher and Advanced Higher Levels. I enjoy working one-to-one with students and I am committed to raising the attainment of the pupils in my care. I also have experience teaching English as a Foreign Language and have worked with students on a one-to-one basis, thus allowing me to assess the individual need of the learner.
Tutoring Approach:
I work one-to-one teaching the Scottish Curriculum. I assess the students needs in the first meeting and supply materials that will help improve the attainment of that student. I will also ask the student for their opinion on what they need to learn as well as give advice on school work that they may be having difficulty with. My methods focus on pupil-centred learning as I believe it is essential to build their confidence if they are so achieve their full potential.
