Information About Lauren:
Personal Description:
I am a student at Bristol university, about to go into my final year of Geography. I am a friendly confident individual who enjoys helping children reach their full potential.
I achieved the school award for academic excellence achieving 3 A's at A-level. 2 B's for AS- level and 11 A*'s for GCSE.
I have a wide range of experience with people and have tutored a range of different ages.
Personally my hobbies include travelling and socialising with friends, in which we are constantly searching for new and exciting activities to try. I am also a trained ballet dancer, running and choreographing summer dance schools.
Teaching Experience:
I was involved mentoring pupils with learning difficulties whilst at school, helping create work 'action plans' and collaboratively with the pupil, create future plans for children who lacked home support. I solely ran the reading workshop initiative which focused on pupils with reading age below what was expected.
The majority of my experience is pupils from the ages of 8 - 15.
I have 3 years of nannying experience where I was constantly involved in teaching, supporting and advancing the children's schooling education.
I have also being employed to improve and perfect English, working primarily with Slovakian, Polish and Spanish nationalities.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to make learning fun and break down complex ideas into easy understandable steps. My experience with pupils of all ages has allowed me to empathise with different learning styles and capabilities, allowing me to adapt my teaching style.
