Personal Description:

I am a fully-qualified and well-experienced Maths teacher, now living in the Sutton area. I have two teenage boys, who I have successfully coached for local Grammar and Independent schools, and I would like to help your children achieve the same. My personal interests are keep-fit and reading, and I am especially fond of swimming and tennis.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and tutor, having taught Maths at university, college, and school level. I have worked both abroad and in the UK, having specialized in the IB (International Baccalaureate) programme whilst working at an approved IB-curriculum school. Most recently, I have been working at an Independent School in Sutton, where I teach and tutor young children in Maths for 11+ and Common Entrance.

This year, I have successfully coached several children for 11+, 13+ (Common Entrance), GCSE, and AS level Maths.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in personalising my approach to the student and fully meeting his/her needs. I was able to successfully coach my own children for local Grammar and Independent schools, and I am now able to help other children to do the same. In my opinion, every child has an innate ability, but this needs to be properly nurtured in order to maximise each child's potential. This is why I enjoy tutoring so much, as I am able to put all of my efforts into discovering the natural talents contained within every single child.
