Charlotte - Truro tutor

Information About Charlotte:

Personal Description:

I am a 28-year old practising barrister at a civil/commercial Chambers in Truro. I trained in London where I practised for two years before moving to Truro in October 2011. I attended Bristol University from 2003-2006 and gained a 2.1 in Law with first class marks for my dissertation. Following bar school (BPP Holborn) I gained an LLM from King's College London (Merit). Previously, I gained three As at A Level in English Literature, History and Politics. At GCSE I received As for English, Maths, Double Science, Music and History and A*s in Geography and English Literature. I have a three year old son and one year old daughter.

Teaching Experience:

I have had various personal tutees over the past few years including primary school English and Law Degree students. I have also taught in schools during my time at University.

Tutoring Approach:

Having not long come out of the education system myself I know exactly what exam boards and schools are looking for. I can help with homework, coursework, revision and exam preparation. I will assess the student's needs and then tailor the course to those requirements. I am happy for parents of young students to be present during the lesson. I endeavour to provide regular progress reports.

My Entrance Exam classes focus on entrance to the bar and can cover BVC applications; mini-pupillage and pupillage applications, and pupillage interview preparation. I can also assist with university applications.
