Personal Description:
I am a native speaker of Polish very keen on helping others in learning the language. English is my second language so I provide a great help in writing, reading, grammar and general knowledge. Moreover, I offer my support in major school subjects for those who struggle from early school up to A-levels. I enjoy meeting new people as much as I love tutoring.
I am CRB checked as I work in school.
Teaching Experience:
September 2008- present: Teaching assistant in a mainstream school mainly helping EAL (English as Another Language) students but also providing help in main school subjects as Maths, English, Humanities subjects and assisting in preparing for GCSE exams.
September 2006- present: Tutoring and helping in learning Polish and English as a foreign language
2004- 2006 (Poland) part-time: preparing students to Polish A-levels exams in English and Polish
Tutoring Approach:
I provide individual 1 hour sessions. First session consists of discussing what help is expected and checking what level applies to the tutee. The length of lessons is to be discussed as some need more time to understand the subject and take it all in.
I differentiate my material for different abilities.
