Martin - Ware tutor
Information About Martin:
Personal Description:
I am a semi-retired professional IT consultant with a 1st Class Honours degree in Mathematics and a PhD in theoretical physics - a highly mathematical subject. I have used maths throughout my professional life in the IT industry. Being semi-retired I am able to provide tuition at most times of the day, and will consider weekends.
Teaching Experience:
I have now been tutoring for over a year and had several recommendations from satisfied parents - and most of my current students have come from these recommendations. Previously I coached my own children to success and some of their friends as they went through school. Part of my professional role in the IT industry was to help and explain problems to my colleagues, and many were kind enough to say I have a gift for explaining seemingly complex ideas in a simple way, with a patient and understanding approach.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the best way to improve your maths skills is by practice and to this end, in addition to private lessons and guiding pupils through topics, I provide personalised worksheets and examples based on the pupils strengths and weaknesses. I am a personable guy and have no problem in relating to pupils in a positive way. This I feel is important as it build up a rapport with the student which considerably aids progress and learning and leads to the most positive results and progress.
