Personal Description:
I'm a Fine Art Graduate originally from Northern Ireland. Currently living in Central London and working full time as a merchandising assistant. I have recently returned from Thailand where I spent 3 months teaching English, and one month riding a motorcycle from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to raise money for the British Red Cross.
Teaching Experience:
My most recent experience of teaching was also my most challenging one, I spent three months in Thailand, where I taught English as a second language for three months to 11 to 15 year olds. I also have experience in both Mathematics and Art classes at secondary level in England and Northern Ireland. And I am planning to apply for a PGCE in the coming academic year.
Tutoring Approach:
From my time in Thailand I learnt that patience and persistence are key in teaching along with making the subject matter approachable, current and interesting for the students to learn from.
