Personal Description:

Well what can I say.. I am currently an Undergraduate studying for a Mathematics Masters at Imperial College and am looking to go on to complete Research PhD in High Reynolds Number Fluid Mechanics, hopefully at Oxford.

Furthermore, I just a generally nice bloke! I always get on with everyone and am always up for a bit of a laugh! Work Hard, Play Hard is definitely my motto!!

Teaching Experience:

Throughout my sixth form years I tutored lower sixth form students on a regular basis who were retaking their Maths GCSEs after having failed the previous year.

This was something I really enjoyed and also everyone I tutored showed significant improvements over a relatively short period of time (the grades don't lie!). In the end, they even wanted me to replace their own teacher... is that bad?? I digress!

I am also involved in the Students Associate Scheme, a tutoring scheme taking Undergraduate students and showing them how teaching and tutoring works through various training sessions and placements in schools around London.

Tutoring Approach:

Maths is fun! Well, that's my main message I get across to my tutees, as soon as you start to enjoy the maths put in front of you (trust me, it does happen!), grades start to improve effortlessly!

I always believe that it is essential to create a good relationship between tutee and tutor; from my experience, many of my tutees have shown a distinct disinterest towards their work, however once I've gotten to know the tutee a little better, we have a bit of laugh, bit of banter, the tutee always seems to open up their perspective of their attitude towards their work and again their ability to take on board information and use it effectively soars.

• Mathematics 4- Year Masters (Imperial College)
• Maths & Further Maths A-Level (A's in all modules including 5 100% modules
• Additional Maths (Intermediary Qualification between GCSE and A-Level having done Maths GCSE in 1 year)
