Natalia - Warwick tutor
Information About Natalia:
Personal Description:
I am currently studying at the University of Manchester for a Masters in American Studies with a focus on Literature, although I also study a certain level of history. Last year I graduated from Goldsmiths College (University of London) with a 2.1 in English and American Literature. Therefore, while I have little training in teaching, I have studied literature to a high level and am eager to hand this onto others interesting in literature.
Although I am enrolled at Manchester, I am commuting from Warwick as my courses happen to all fall on one day.
Teaching Experience:
Although I have little experience in an official sense, I frequently help guide my younger sister (aged 14) in a number of subjects, but mostly English and History. As I generally received higher grades than my friends I have often helped them with essays or elements they found difficult, always improving their grades and understanding. Thus, I have a level of experience teaching a wide range of ages groups.
Tutoring Approach:
The main reason I have pursued literary studies to such a high level is a simple enjoyment and love of the study. I would therefore endeavour to help others who are perhaps unsure of the subject discover a passion, or at least a way in which to render it accessible. I have a firm belief that a focus on enjoyment and personal engagement will only serve to increase a student's ability in a more enduring way than simply aspiring for top grades.
