Information About Lauren:
Personal Description:
I have just completed an undergraduate Law degree from St Anne's College, Oxford gaining a 2:1.
I attained 4 As at A Level Maths, English, History and Physics and got 6 As at AS Level (Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, Physics, History and General Studies).
I got 10 A*s at GCSE in Maths, English Literature, English Language, French, German, Latin, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and History.
I am available throughout the summer from June to September for additional help for all ages, especially for those who wish to bridge the gap to starting Senior School and pre-GCSEs. (I will also be helping my younger sister over the summer as she beginning her AS Levels!)
Teaching Experience:
I was a tutor at Magdalen School, Oxford during my degree.
I am currently tutoring two pupils for their GCSEs in maths and physics and have been tutoring a Junior School pupil for around 5 years. I also enjoy volunteering at Carlisle Infant School and at my local Girl Guides.
I have already tutored 4 pupils who contacted me through this site.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to always encourage students to think for themselves and work out the problems using my guidance rather than just gave them the answers. Having going through school only a few years ago I know exactly what the examiners are looking for and can really help with exam technique. I also have lots of past exam questions which I used myself as well as textbooks and revsion guides to help your child learn and revise.
