Personal Description:
I returned to higher education as a mature student, studying history and law. I am married with seven children. I worked for 25 years as a school supervisor. Friendly, hard working, dedicated, widely experienced with regard to children with special educational needs, I hold a full(CRB) police check certificate to work with children and vulnerable adults
Teaching Experience:
Teaching Irish language in local community center for 10 years. I have worked for 5 years as a private tutor. I can produce excellent recommendations from satisfied parents, and all my students have gained a high examination pass rate, and or demonstrated rapid improvement in schoolwork.
Tutoring Approach:
Following initial meeting, I employ a structured approach using a of wide variety of relevant books and I introduce to students to both in depth and speed reading. Instruction includes structured visual stimulus e.g. photographs, films , and artifacts. I also conduct review of previous examination papers, occasionally set course work
