Information About Liam:

Personal Description:

Liam is an artist and teacher from Nottingham, after school he attended the Art foundation at NCN College Nottingham. He graduated with distinction and went onto Leeds Met University and gained a Ba(hons) in 'Art & Design' in 2002.

After living in France for a short period he returned to Nottingham and opened his studio shop in Nottingham. After 4 years he closed the shop and became purely an online shop. He then qualified as an Art and Design teacher (PGCE/Cert ed), teaching at NCN college and privately for a year. Itchy feet then found Liam in South Korea, where he worked and travelled for 9 months.He has now returned to Nottingham once more and teaches iMedia (photography concept art etc) at NCN.

All subjects covered as a supervisor in Primary and comprehensive schools.

1 Year Teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea ages 6-17.

Tutoring Approach:

I endeavour to provide the environment for the student/s to facilitate their own learning.

I have a broad knowledge not just of Art and Design but other subjects (Pop Culture, cultures, history, geography, science & nature) all of which have enabled me to help all levels of design and art, identifying and solving problems. Also to engage students in any subject of their interest.

I try to help the student think in an "art & Design" way. Abstract thought which can benefit all facets of working and social life.

I can teach various technical skills in art and design using a language that is easy to understand.

When teaching English, I like to make it fun, talking about things the student enjoys. I can identify areas for improvement, increase vocabulary, teach grammar and spelling, and communicate very well with all levels.

Above all I like to make lessons fun so that learning is more readily accepted.

• Degree Art & Design 2:1
• Foundation in Art & Design - Distinction
