Jack - Edinburgh tutor

Information About Jack:

Personal Description:

I am a very polite, friendly person with a range of different experience teaching. Hobbies and interests include; film, music (listening and playing), football, and kayaking. I am very flexible in that I attained a varied selection of high standard GCSE's, allowing me to offer support in multiple subjects if required. My A-levels are all based around Physics and Maths so this is where I offer A-level assistance. I am currently studying for a joint masters in Maths and Theoretical Physics at The University Of Bristol.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored many people through GCSE's, and have seen a vast improvement in the standard of work produced and more importantly a greater depth of understanding. I recently took part in the nation wide student associates scheme where I received on the job training from qualified teachers and school staff. This experience gave me a great deal of insight into various teaching methods and allow me to modify my teaching style depending of the needs of my tutee.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring depends almost entirely on the subject and the tutee, although I tend to have quite a structured approach. I can offer aid with current courses (i.e. going through homework or giving explainations). Alternately I can give revision help. If it is required I can set additional work (i.e. problem sheets, internet research or assignments). I am also happy to arrange group sessions for small numbers (3-5 people)
