Personal Description:

I am 24 year old male with a degree in Biotechnology (1st Class), and a masters in Biochemical Engineering (Distinction) both received from the University College of London (UCL). After leaving university I went on to work for JPMorgan as a commodities banker. Since the start of 2009 I have been working as a Competitive Intelligence Analyst for the largest European Oil and Gas company.



Teaching Experience:

I have 3 years experience teaching Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at GCSE and below.
I have also been teaching Economics for the past year with great success. I am also willing to teach Biology and other Life Sciences beyond GCSE. I also assist students with university and job applications which many students have found to be very helpful. I can teach both individuals as well as small groups (3-4). I can provide block lessons of 2-3 hours if required.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a relaxed style of teaching which I personally feel allows my students to be most comfortable producing the best results. I do not stick to a rigid plan for my lessons as I feel this can hinder progression, instead allowing my students to dictate much of the content focusing on areas where help is needed most. However I do ensure the entire syllabus is covered and that my students are well prepared for all course content. I pay great attention to exam technique and personally believe many students stumble at this skill even when subject knowledge and understanding is at a high level.
