Personal Description:
I have a First Class Degree in Mathematics, an MSc in Mathematical Logic, a PhD in Applied Maths and 6 years postdoctoral research in mathematical biology.
Currently I have a five year position at Dept of Engineering Science, Oxford University.
Teaching Experience:
I have tutored mathematics from GCSE to Degree level for the past 10 years.
I have worked as a volunteer in secondary and primary schools in Malawi teaching mathematics to pupils and teachers. I have lectured mathematics at Glasgow University and given lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and graduate students at Oxford University.
I supervise MSc and PhD students.
Tutoring Approach:
It's my job to quickly identify the difficulties you are having with mathematics and think of ways to explain this so you can grasp the concepts. I can help those who are struggling with mathematics and those who wish to acheive top grades.
