Personal Description:

I graduated with a Masters in English Literature from Cambridge University.

I am a friendly, approachable, and patient tutor, keen to tailor lessons according to students' specific requirements.

I love to learn and am passionate about my subject. My sessions are instructive, fun and inspire confidence.



Teaching Experience:

Whilst based primarily in London, I have travelled with families around Europe (Gstaad and Lausanne, Switzerland and Eastern Europe) and the United States, tutoring in Independent, State and International Baccalaureate curriculums. I have a 100% success rate for 11+ and 13+ Entrance Exams.

Tutoring Approach:

We learn at our best when we are excited by a subject. I will always do my best to enthuse you and to make sure you understand the material at every step of the way.

I believe in dialogue as well as instruction, so I encourage the active participation of pupils and the sharing of ideas to nurture confidence and individual thought.

It's important that the student's own interpretations are incorporated into the framework of a session, to develop their literary technique, creative imagination and analytical skills.

Above all, I believe tutoring should encourage both a relaxed and productive atmosphere, allowing a pupil to refine their own ideas and interpretations.
