Information About Andrew:
Personal Description:
I am 31 years old and am currently living on my third continent. I grew up in South Africa and have lived and worked in Taiwan and England. I love studying and teaching as it challenges me and allows me to test and broaden my interests. I am a self taught artist and illustrator specialising in pen and ink but adept at painting too.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught English as a second language in Taiwan for 4years and have a degree in English Literature from the University of South Africa. As well as teaching in bushibans and kindergartens I also held numerous private classes in students homes.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy the challenge of meeting individual students on a one to one basis. The personal communication that it affords is the best platform for assessing and meeting the needs of individual students. I believe that education is as much about teaching as about learning and that learning should be challenging, fun and exciting. I see it as my job to think creatively and find new ways to approach situations and problems.
