Personal Description:

My career to date has been spent in customer service environments working as a manager in both operational and business development roles and in teaching. In recent years I have been managing projects associated with Information & Communications Technologies in the public and education sectors.

I'm currently employed as ERP Oracle Training Coordinator with GE Healthcare in Cardiff. I also work 3 evenings teaching at UWIC's Llandaf Campus helping students with a range of IT related issues associated with using the Microsoft Office software applications.

For several years I worked in local government as a Business Manager and as a Schools ICT Advisor. I also spent 3 years on secondment with the Welsh Assembly Government as a Project Manager where I managed the multi-million Lifelong Learning Network that provided Internet connectivity into every school, library and council office in Wales.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching/training experience includes delivering ICT training events at: FreshBaked, e-academy in Cardiff, Career Change Wales, Coleg Morganwg, Vale of Glamorgan County Borough Council's Adult Education Service, Cardiff University, University of Wales Institute Cardiff, and supply teaching in comprehensive schools across south Wales where I have taught ICT subjects at GCSE & A Level.

I'm also invoved in e-learning where I deliver teaching sessions to students across the world using Virtual Learning Environments. I have many years experience working as a manager, project manager and teaching ICT skills to children and adults, delivering the GCSE & A Level ICT curriculum; 2003 & 2007 versions of the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Project, Publisher, Outlook, Visio) at beginners, intermediate and advanced levels and ECDL and CLAIT IT courses.

I hold the PRINCE2 project management certificate; the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) qualification; the Train the Trainer (T3) Teaching qualification; the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS - the certificate demonstrating competence in using the Microsoft Office 2007 applications; the FAETC (Further & Adult Education Teaching Certificate) and the Post Graduate Certificate in Education - PGCE (CertEd) teaching degree.

The training courses I deliver, whether they are formal certified programmes like the European (or International) Computer Driving Licence, (ECDL & ICDL) or introductory sessions, are designed with one main goal - making sure you, or people within your organisation become competent and confident users of computer hardware, software applications & programs and other Information & Communications Technologies.

I deliver formal courses across Wales, the South West of England and across the rest of the United Kingdom. Teaching and learning can be either classroom based, in your home, or in your home office or workplace.
