Personal Description:
Employed as a Senior IT Consultant working for an outsource firm working for US Investment Banks based in London. With over 15 years IT experience, originally in manufacturing, through to retail and investment banking, has overseen many projects that the education system is training people for. Able to take dry questions and offer real-world experiences to enrich the education process. Able to make an often perceived dull subject interesting and go beyond the boundaries of required learning to help the student thoroughly explore their potential.
Teaching Experience:
Have been on the receiving end of many different courses in the industry and have picked off the best methods to use and know the methods not to use as well. Have taught and mentored many employees, graduate trainees and foreign offshore workers from around the globe. Given courses remotely via phone and internet to external clients needing business and technical training.
Tutoring Approach:
To determine the take up speed and ability of each student on an individual basis and deliver the information at a speed and level best suited so they take the most from the presented information.
If a student doesn't understand, then break it down until they do, take a step back and try another method. If they still don't understand, then it is my fault, not theirs and I adapt quickly and accordingly so as to get them to understand in the end.
