Personal Description:
I am a recently qualified Primary School Teacher who holds a degree in Geography and Sports Studies. I am 29 years old, and have recently returned to London after living in Liverpool during the past 10 years. My main passions are travelling and sport. I will be working from September at Elliot Bank Primary School in Forest Hill. Elliot Bank is rated as an 'Outstanding School' following its last OFSTED report.
Teaching Experience:
I completed my teacher training in various schools in merseyside and qualified in January 2009. Since my return to London, I have worked as a supply teacher in many different schools in south London. This has given me valuable teaching experience.
Tutoring Approach:
For many children it is simply a case of building confidence in themselves on the subject in question. Unless I am given specific instructions by the parents on what they would like me to focus on, I tend to use the first session to evaluate exactly where their child's strengths and weaknesses are. I would then devise a clear program to boast the child's knowledge in the areas where they were falling short.
