Information About Elizabeth:


Personal Description:

I have an excellent general arts education, with a Master's in History of Art and Italian from Trinity College, Dublin. I also have a PGCE from the University of London, and a Diploma in Rural Development from QUB. I have taught History of Art and Art to A-level standard, and am competent in French, English and History.



Teaching Experience:

I have had only 2 years full time teaching experience, and another one year 'subbing'. My full-time job was in The King's School, Ely, Cambs.
For 20 years I was caretaker of an historic monument, and in that role did quite a lot of school visit teaching of history.



Tutoring Approach:

I have done a little tutoring, mainly of Italian, and try to achieve a balance of a relaxed atmosphere with measurable output. I like both tutor and tutee to be able to boast of a visible improvement. To this end I do tend to 'knuckle down' from day one. But I use humour and art to lighten the work!
