Personal, friendly and encouraging teaching style evident due to passion for subjects. Every tutee is an individual with their relevant strengths and as such I would initially talk to their parents and discuss their performance in school thus far. Assess individual's merits, formulate a plan and adapt approach to improve performance. This would allow us proceed to help the tutee to achieve their potential. Focus on key concepts to increase fundamental knowledge and understanding of material. Main aims are to develop pupil's confidence and ability to answer exam questions accurately. Furthermore, I like to take a more holistic approach to teaching so the tutee develops a through understanding of the subject matter and can see the connections to our everyday experience of life and really start to enjoy academic study. Advise clients of further education options and making positive choices for their children.
