Personal Description:

I am currently taking a career break from teaching to stay at home with my baby son. Prior to taking a career break, I taught in a school in Solihull for four years. I really enjoy working with children and find it very rewarding to see a child achieve their goals. I am dedicated to helping children to achieve their full potential and become more confident learners.

Teaching Experience:

I am a fully qualified Primary teacher. I have been a private tutor for five years.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel that tutoring works best when it is specifically tailored to your child and when it is enjoyable. I aim to boost the confidence of my learners through a positive approach and through working at a level that is suitably challenging for them.

My tutoring is 100% tailored to your child's individual needs. I plan all of my lessons and prepare my resources specifically for your child. I aim to make the learning fun- I include games in my lessons (which are designed to target your child's areas for development) and I also incorporate your child's interests into the activities wherever possible. I plan my lessons on a session-by-session basis to ensure that we work at a pace that is suitably challenging for your child.

I can offer short term or long-term tutoring. If your child has one or two targets to work on or just needs a confidence boost in an area of the curriculum, short-term tutoring may be more appropriate. Whereas long-term tutoring may be more appropriate if you feel your child is really struggling with a subject or if you would like your child to receive the support of a qualified teacher alongside their schooling.

Qualifications:

• Currently working towards a MA in Educational Leadership and Management
• BA (First Class Hons) Primary Education
• 4 A-levels (inc. French, English)
• 11 GCSE's
