Information About Gerard:
Personal Description:
I am currently a first year student of The University of Manchester studying Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American studies. I am very keen to gain some experience in tutoring as I plan to teach in the future. Besides from doing modules in Spanish and Portuguese in University I also study an Intermediate French module. I am particularly keen on tutoring languages as it is something I feel passionate about. I am available to tutor in Belfast when I am on holidays from University [around the Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks].
Teaching Experience:
Although I have no current teaching experience, I have always been very helpful for my peers and younger siblings when they had trouble with their studies. I believe that I have a natural ability to help people learn.
Tutoring Approach:
Primarily, I would decipher the tutee's particular learning needs in their subject. I would then draw from information from the Internet and from my own notes to structure a coherent teaching plan. I would also endeavour to make the learning as fun as possible.
