Personal Profile:

I am a post-graduate psychologist, who has studied at two highly regarded universities: Southampton University and Aston University respectively. I plan to further my studies in psychology in a couple years and as a passion, I keep up-to date with research in the psychology field. I am fluent in 3 lanuages and am currently learn Spanish. My past A-levels and GSCEs highlight my ability to learn and gain excellent results.

Moreover, I have a passion for helping people hence that's why I am tutoring. Further I previously tutored whilst studying. In addition, I have an upto date CRB check.

Teaching Experience:

Tutoring Competences:

As highlighted above, I have tutored psychology for both degree level and A-level and am currently tutoring a number of students. I have worked in a school environment on a number of occasions including assisting special needs children and invigilating. Further, I have also had extensive experience working with children from my previously non-profit positions. I hope to be also marking A-level papers in the near future.

In addition, I have taught English Language abroad in India to students aged between 14-21. I have worked in a school setting on a number of occasions, including as a special needs teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

I work with a student with a individualist method of teaching, where a student can go through areas of difficulty, and build these into strengths. I further emphasis the importance of adapting the method of learning instead of just textbook and past-papers. Example of methods which will be utilised are short presentations and mind-maps on different topics areas.

In addition, I firmly believe that the tutor and tutee has to build a relationship on trust, which enables them to focus on any area of difficulty and the best method to overcome these.

My approach includes keeping regular records including progress reports for both the student and the parent to build up the confidence and highlight the progress of the student. I have a strong emphasis on homework and that if a student works hard, they can achieve to the best of their ability.
