Personal Description:

I am 25 years old. I live in Norwich with my partner. Originally from Bury St Edmunds, I moved to Norwich 6 years ago.

My experience is quite diverse. Last year I completed an Access to Medicine course where I studied Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Medical Geography. I am now waiting to begin Medical School at UEA, in September.

My area of expertise is Physics, Biology and Chemistry. My level of knowledge is at and above A Level standard. I am continuing to improve my knowledge in all these areas, in preparation for medical school, and for my current students.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a TEFL English Teacher for around 2 years. As an English teacher I taught English Language to foreign students of different nationalities. On average my classes consisted of approximately 15 students. Lessons were aimed at preparing students for their International English Language Testing System exams (IELTS). General lessons involved teaching grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and verbal and written communication.

For last 6 months I have been working as private tutor, teaching students in Physics, Biology and Chemistry. The work has been great and I have really enjoyed helping students prepare for a range of exams.

Tutoring Approach:

I am friendly and down to earth. I remember what it was like to learn and what an ardours and laborious process it can be at times. However I work with the students to tailor a learning program for them, using teachings methods best suited to their needs and learning style.
I believe this enables students to absorb information in a coherent useful way, I also believe that this allows students to begin enjoying the subject they are learning, and to see how interesting and useful science is!

Qualifications:

• Access to Medicine. Subjects - Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Medical Geography.
• 3 A Levels
• 10 GCSE's
• TESOL- International Training Certificate of Educational Studies.
