Personal Description:
I am a 19 year old undergraduate at Oxford University studying French and Latin. My interests include music- i play the piano, violin and ukelele and am part of a band, art- which i keep up as a member of the life drawing society at Oxford, drama and sport. I am a friendly, hard working person.
Teaching Experience:
Previously no teaching experience. I have worked in my local primary school, so I have experience working with younger children. I am also on the books for the Tutoring agency Bright Young Things.
Tutoring Approach:
Tutoring is foremost about being friendly and getting through to people. I am good at understanding people, and putting things in terms which others can understand. My approach is that variety makes for more interesting learning, which is ultimately more effective. Different resources, including the internet, films and books, help to enliven linguistic studies, such as French, Latin or English. Having had the first hand experience of a range of different entrance exams, including private entrance to St Mary's School, Calne, and to Oxford University, I'm also well placed to give advice on applications.
