Personal Description:

I'm 19 years old and currently taking a year out from studying. I've done a bit of traveling and i'm now back home and trying to make money to fund the rest of my years at uni.
I do some freelance videographer and editing work and i'm hoping to work full time in the media industry when my studies are finished.
I'm an avid reader and enjoy a lively discussion.

Although I have no formal qualifications in IT, I have years of experience with both PC and Mac systems. I always excelled in IT at school and that was part of the reason i chose not to study it to any real qualification. I felt i had an advanced understanding already and opted to study things i was less familiar with so I could learn more.

I'm also dyslexic. However i've learned to overcome this and therefore have a good understanding of how to help others to do the same.



Teaching Experience:

Whilst in secondary school I was often the person classmates came to for help when they did not understand things. According to them I was able to explain the subjects in easier to understand terms than than the teachers usually did.
I have also tutored my younger brother in several subjects in the past.



Tutoring Approach:

I'm a very logical person, so I break things down into small, easy to understand parts and then help the student to create simple bullet point notes, flashcards or mind maps, depending on the preferred learning style.

Also repeated practice of weak areas.

  • Chemisty, maths and chemisty at standard grade 1
  • Biology and physics at higher grade B
