Personal Description:

I employ a modern and fun approach to tutoring. The key to successful learning is finding the ways in which we, as individuals, learn best.
I am honest, reliable and most importantly - I enjoy the process of teaching and the rewards of seeing my students achieve - however small that achievement may be.
I endeavour to help my students succeed yet in doing so, have fun and feel confident to use their newly aqcuired skills.



Teaching Experience:

I have worked within primary education in the UK for the last 2 years.

Previously I had worked as a teacher in Barcelona and Almeria teaching English to a wide range of ages and abilities.

I have taught English to large groups but feel that many progress quicker and retain their acquired skills far more successfully from individual tutoring.



Tutoring Approach:

I offer an adaptable, fun style and endeavour to provide stimulating lessons that are looked forward to, rather than dreaded!

For those wishing to better their English skills, I pay careful attention to encompassing reading, writing, speaking & listening skills and handwriting.

When teaching children, being flexible is essential. I constantly monitor performance and adapt my lessons as required.

Whilst teaching pupils of primary age, I often involve parents in order to help them participate in the future of assisting their children. New techniques of calculation and terminology can often seem daunting but are not as scary as they seem!

Qualifications:

  • 6 O Levels (4 grade A: Eng Lan, Eng Lit, Art, French; 2 Grade B: German, Maths)
  • English A level
  • Cambridge qualified in teaching English as a foreign language
  • English Speaking Board Certification
