Information About Rebecca:


Personal Description:

I am from the United States where I taught primary school for 5 years. I came to Scotland in 2005 to help with the music and children's departments at a church. After moving here, I married a wonderful man who is serving in the British Forces. In addition to a degree in primary education, I hold a master's degree in publishing as well as a diploma in writing for children and teenagers.



Teaching Experience:

Classroom teacher at Woodville Elementary School in Florida, USA. I taught all subjests during my first 2 years to P3 and P4 students. During my last three years I taught creative writing and science to all of the P4 students in teh school (about 80 children). I also have experience with the P2 age group. In addition, I taught preschool for a year in Edinburgh. Currently I teach Bible lessons at my church to children from P1 through S2.



Tutoring Approach:

I am a kind and patient person who realises that every person has their own learning style. I adapt to those styles and give each child the opportunity to learn at their own pace. The goal is to encourage children and give them the passion and desire to push through obstacles and simply perform at their best and with excellence.
