Tony - Cambridge tutor

Information About Tony:

Personal Description:

I am a friendly, experienced and mature tutor. I enjoy explaining concepts at all levels, using analogies and examples where appropriate. I have a relaxed rapport with all levels of students. Many of my students have passed with A grades and some have even gone onto Professorships at Cambridge University. I offer special coached tailoring to help with Cambridge University entry as part of the A-level courses. I offer specialised coaching for University Entrance to study medicine e.g. GAMSAT. I have two Cambridge University doctorates, and College memberships. I also offer advice and marking on essays at all levels. I have examined up to first-degree, PhD and MD standards, both nationally and internationally. My medical training is in pathology (the study of disease).

Teaching Experience:

Extensive. Lecturing, supervisions, one-to-one at all levels, up to university postgraduate level. My last (A2 Biology) tutee described me as a "great tutor"!

Tutoring Approach:

Relaxed, informal. The student leads the pace, though I do try to keep on track with targets. I realise this is pointless if a student fails to grasp concepts, and therefore I offer extensive revision and refresher modules.

I can also help with theses and essays (especially if you need help with English), and provide this work online if required.

For higher levels, I will help access references to published work if required.
