Personal Description:
I am an experienced, qualifed primary teacher based in North Wiltshire.
Teaching Experience:
I have been qualified as a teacher for 8 years, currently teaching Year 3 and 4, but with a huge amount of experience teaching Year 5 and 6. As a result I have an excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 SATs requirments.
I have a strong understanding of the needs of primary aged children, including those who need some support to help them work at an age appropriate level and those who maybe need a bit of a stretching!
I have experience working as a tutor for children ranging from 6 to 14 years old.
Tutoring Approach:
All children thrive on praise and this is where I base my tutoring. I use regular assessments (often the children don't even realise the assessment is happening!) to help me gain an understanding of both the child's strengths and weaknesses.
I strongly believe in using a variety of resources and strategies to help children engage in their learning. I work hard to tailor my lessons to the child's interests, As a result I have become an expert on swimming and Transformers!
