Personal Description:
I am currently doing my Phd in Mechnical Engineering at Loughborough University. My research area is related to computer assisted orthopaedic surgery.
Teaching Experience:
During my Bachelor and Masters I used to teach A-Level students in subjects such as Maths, Geography, Economics.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is to try to allow the students to do as much of the work as they possibly can by themselves and I coach them along and do my best to smooth over the rough spots. As in my view ideal tutors must be activators rather than facilitators. Activators cause active student learning by motivating and leading students with appropriate, open-ended questions. I do not have a "method" or "strategy" for tutoring because each student is an individual.
