Personal Description:

I am 53 years old and have spent all of my adult life living abroad. I recently returned to England after living 9 years in France, 15 years in California, 8 years in Cuba and 2 years in Ecuador. My partner is Cuban so any Spanish classes could also involve a native speaker.

I bring with me the experience of living in very different countries and systems.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught TEFL in registered language schools in San Francisco, California and in Cuenca, Ecuador. My students were all adults in post-graduate studies.

I have tutored both Spanish and French conversation.

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer to teach one on one because of the rapid progress a student makes to the satisfaction of tutor and student alike. I myself learned Spanish this way before going on to study the language in college.

I would prefer to teach anyone under 16 at their own home with one of their parents present in the house at the time.

Qualifications:

• TEFL Certificate
• Spanish Language Diploma
• Geomorphology to degree (1976, Paris)
