Personal Description:
I am a female graduate with over 25 years work experience. I am hardworking, approachable, flexible and enjoy the company of people regardless of age, background and etc.
I left my full time teaching job 2 years ago and at present I do supply teaching inschools/colleges and continue with private tuition. I have been a private tutor for over 17 years and I am very successful to assist my pupils to achieve their intended grades(GCSE maths, AS Level Maths/ICT), pass entry exams to independents schools, pass SATS, complete thie coursework with high grades and etc.
In my spare time I work for a couple of charities, travel and try cookery recepies.

I am a graduate of maths and computing with several years of working as a Statistician for a retailing company & over 25 years of teaching in Further education & sixth form colleges. During this period I taught from pre GCSE maths to A level maths (maths & statistics). I am also a very experienced ICT teacher teaching GCSE, ALVEL ICT & Computing, GNVQ Intermediate & GNVQ Advanced in ICT and also BTEC National in ICT.
Tutoring Approach:
I normally contact the pupil/pupil's parents to introduce myself and the agency, If they agree with tuition my agreement is to give 1 lesson during which I test the pupil's knowledge on a range of SIMPLE & BASIC maths concepts and give feedback to the parents. This method has worked very well either way. As part of tuition I make sure my pupils gain confidence & knowledge gently but surely. Generally after some lessons pupils show visible confidence & knowledge that are very satisfying for everyone concerned.
Homework is a MUST no matter sometimes, due to school work, is just a few exercises.
Also every so often pupils have tests on selected topics.
