Personal Description:

I currently work in Upminster and live in Islington. I am patient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in my subject and have home tution experience ranging over 4 years, both in and out of the London area. My qualifications range from A* GCSE to two Further Maths A-levels to a top 5 University degree in Pure Mathematics over 2 and a half years to a Mathematics PGCE degree in various comprehensive and private schools. I am also running an Easter Mathematics Revision course in 2012.

Teaching Experience:

I graduated from Bristol University in 2002 with a BSC Hon in Pure Mathematics at a Lower Second Class level, and graduated from Exeter University in 2005 with a PGCE in Mathematics. During this PGCE year I taught a wide range of GCSE and A-level Mathematical subjects in several schools to different age groups across the board
On successful completion of this course, I was accepted at a Sixth Form military college (Welbeck College) where I taught A-Level Mathematics to small groups of classes consisting of future military in preparation for Engineering degrees at university. 23 of my 25 students received an A-Grade at A-level

Tutoring Approach:

I am interested in becoming a tutor as I am enthusiastic about Mathematics and would like to pass this enthusiasm onto pupils who find this subject difficult when taught in a main stream classroom. I can spot signs of difficulty easily and can adapt my style of teaching to meet the pupil's needs and boost their confidence both in the classrom and the exam room
