Personal Description:
I am married with two adult children and have lived in Durham for 12 years.
Teaching Experience:
I worked as a maths teacher in a variety of schools in County Durham from 1997 to 2002 before starting to work as a tutor for the Home and Hospital Service in 2002, which is service provided by Durham County Council to children unable to attend school becase of illness or anxiety. In this job, I have been tutoring secondary school children on a one to one basis in all areas of the school curriculum and am therefore very experienced as a tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
You will find me very patient and sympathetic to your difficulties in maths and well able to help you understand maths better. I am happy to concentrate on problems that have arisen for you in school/college or to work through particular areas of maths that you find difficult.
