I am a 24 Year old with a degree in Early years education. I am currently doing my Qualified Teacher Training at a primary school and tutor children in Maths on the weekends. I have tutoring children for many years to help them excel in schools so that they can reach their full potential.

Through the years, the goal of educating young children has been the focus of my chosen work experiences, both in Health and Social Care (Level 3) at A Level to outside the classroom. From shadowing Early Years Practitioners to assisting Reception class teachers, I have made my rounds from school to school. However, this did not have my focus, instead, afterschool homework club did. As a nanny for two children in Key Stages' 1 and 2, I was fortunate enough to gain experiences of at home teaching of curriculum-based resources provided by the school during the lockdown. It was an invaluable insight into primary school curriculums and gave me the necessary experience needed into teaching, without leaving the house. I aimed to follow these schedules down to the break and lunch times to give the children a sense of normality and a readiness to learn during this unpredictable time.

Teaching is a rewarding job where children learn through fun and grow to become more inspired and confident learners. I found time management to be the most important of all, not only for the children but also to aid the teacher themselves, both in and out of the classroom. My approach to tutoring is highly personalised and focused on helping you achieve your desired marks. I believe that everyone has the potential to succeed, and I work closely with my students to identify their unique strengths and weaknesses, so that we can develop a customised learning plan that works for them. I'm patient, understanding, and committed to helping you succeed, adapting to your learning style and background.

My lessons are very much dependent on my initial assessment of the students, but usually involve discussions and activities to identify areas that need developing, explicitly teaching the material that students need help with, checking their understanding, then providing lots of opportunities to practise the content, leading to exam practice by emphasising on examination techniques.

I truly believe that everyone is capable of succeeding in their GCSEs and A level with hard work and the right guidance. I am confident that my experience and genuine passion in science will help my students grow their confidence and achieve great results.
