I have a BA in English Linguistics from the University of Malaga (Spain) and I am a fully qualified teacher based in a comprehensive secondary school, specialised in Spanish and French. I am very enthusiastic, friendly and approachable teacher with a fascination for Spain and the Spanish speaking world, along with other countries and languages particularly French and German. I was born in France near Paris and lived in Geneva/Switzerland for a very long time before I moved to the UK. I came here years ago to be closed to some dear friends and since then I have been residing here. .Beside tutoring, I enjoy coloured painting that I practise during my spare time. Throughout my prior educational years I have had a strong passion for both Physical Education and History, and was able to learn a great deal under some fantastic teaching methods. I have a surface pro with a pen for online lessons. In economics and maths, I use an online whiteboard which students have permanent access to, to write notes and solutions to exam questions. My approach is to accelerate students as fast as possible through their given course using exam material to deepen and develop their knowledge. I find I can accelerate students rapidly in maths (at GCSE and A-level), whilst they greatly enjoy the subject and the sessions. Students quickly improve at school too, which gives them extra confidence in their talents and capabilities. I set students past papers questions and we resolve any difficulties they had in the session. Iterating through past paper questions in this manner leads to exceptional results: a student of mine came in the top 1% in the entrance exam against Oxford University applicants and gained a place. Similarly, students excel at 11+, 13+, GCSE and A-Level in this manner. Practicing exam material and constantly pushing myself is how I achieved first class hons at the University of Oxford (as well as how I exceled at school), coming top in Game Theory in the exam, so I believe in this approach.
