Personal Description:
I am a French native, qualified language teacher working as a Head of Department in a reputable independent school in Moor Park. I have a genuine enthusiasm for languages and for language education as I have had experience of teaching French in various contexts and countries.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught across Key Stages 2, 3, 4, 5 within several secondary schools in London. I also have the opportunity to teach pupils with Special Educational Needs as well as gifted ones and I am therefore aware of their need for differentiation through support and extension activities provided when delivering lessons.
Finally, I teach French to adults and I believe that helping them to learn my language is extremely rewarding, whether they are great beginners or fluent speakers.

Tutoring Approach:

I have specialised in one-to-one support and exam preparation (A-levels, GCSEs, Common Entrance, 13+ etc.) with tailored programmes to meet the individual needs as well as a creative teaching style. In my teaching, I always transfer to my students my own enthusiasm for languages and try to enhance their motivation and enjoyment of language learning. I set my students high standards for work and have received positive feedback from pupils and peers.

Personal Description:
I am a forty-two year old male, who has lived and worked all over the world. I only teach English as a Foreign Language, and I will only teach adults (16+). I live in Southampton, and am prepared to travel if required. I am available most of the time, including weekends if necessary.
My interests include football and sailing.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously taught adult students as follows;
1. In Prague (Czech Republic), mostly at beginner and intermediate level.
2. Fijian adults at intermediate and advanced level.
3. Polish adults at all levels.
4. Arabic adults at intermediate level.
I do not teach any other subjects so EFL is my speciality.

Tutoring Approach:

I have used most of the popular workbooks before, but I am happy to teach to a syllabus of the student's choice. I try to make all lessons as contemporary and enjoyable as possible (I have even taught in a pub), but am happy to adapt to the student's needs as necessary.

I am happy to offer significant discounts to the advertised rates for block bookings paid in advance.

Personal Description:
I am a 31 year-old prize-winning Masters graduate in Mathematics from Oxford University, and I also hold Top Candidate Notifications for my performances in A-level maths and further maths, and another such notification for my performance in GCSE Statistics. I am in my eighth year of tutoring full-time.

I offer tuition in mathematics at each of the following levels: KS3/GCSE/AS/A2/AEA/MAT/Oxbridge Interview Practice/STEP. I have a CRB Enhanced Disclosure.

Teaching Experience:

I have seven full years experience as a full-time private tutor. My role addresses the pitfalls of a mainstream education by truly individualising it, and is perfected through thousands of hours of experience of striving to achieve precisely that. My thirst for knowledge has allowed me to develop a true understanding of mathematical concepts: I have frequently played the role of the consultant throughout my mathematical career, have been able to help my peers and students avoid the pitfalls usually associated with difficult ideas and am able to explain things from numerous angles.

Tutoring Approach:

Traversing the mathematical landscape is an art; it can be a very uncomfortable environment for some. I find it so important to make my students feel at ease and to find confidence in their maths and so important to be friendly and patient. I am not a suited, booted assessor, nor old-school, to be frank! The feedback I've received indicates that I am very successful in creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages discussion, openness and good effort.

As well as engaging with students in this manner, my aim as a maths tutor is to get my students to 'think mathematically'; to uncover the inherent simplicity in methods and concepts and to truly understand what is being worked with. It is my business to focus thought, prevent confusion and stimulate the development of good ideas. I employ illuminating explanations and navigate sticking points, and as a result maths should be considerably easier to handle under my guidance.

As well as offering support for those with difficulties or specific grade aspirations at standard levels, I can also challenge the very able as intensely as they could hope for, introducing them to the mindset, rigour and practise required for the more challenging AEA and STEP papers. At university I was lucky enough to find myself one to whom others turned with maths troubles: I have been depended on to explain advanced maths effectively for years. I am sure this accounts for two more areas of particularly positive feedback I've received as a tutor: in explaining concepts and in effectively dealing with problems as they arise.

I provide tuition either at my home in central Cheltenham, or at the homes of students within a 30-mile radius of it (dependent on particular location).

I am here to provide a complete teaching experience that in addition to ironing out difficulties and providing excellent exam preparation as matter of course, at no extra effort on the part of the student introduces them to the thought processes and insights of the professional mathematician. I have the STRONGEST sense of duty of care to my students and want every one who I work with to exceed their own expectations and the expectations of others and to walk away feeling truly proud of their achievements.

Personal Description:
I was born and raised in California and came to London to attend university. I recently received a first class degree in International Business from Middlesex University. I also possess a HND in Business Management in which I received a distinction mark. I work well with others and have tutoring experience that I gained previously during my studies. People that I have tutored say that I am a good teacher and I explain things in a simple easy to understand manner. I have helped many students, and can help with coursework assistance, proofreading, examination preparation, and lecture slide revision.

Teaching Experience:

I am great at writing and have excellent grammatical skills. People that I have tutored always do well in their modules and my pupils tell me that I am a good teacher that can clearly explain information. I have business experience and possess plenty of business knowledge that I gained during my studies. I have a soft approach to tutoring, first learning about the individual in order to create a customized lesson plan to suit the specific needs of the individual. I can meet at a time and place convenient to you and will always prepare my lessons in advance to provide you with the best help possible.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach people in unique ways depending on the individual. For example if English is knew to the student, I have to explain things in a much more individually focused approach. I can show you methods that I guarantee will raise your marks. For example, during my studies, I learned various tips and tricks which helped me gain my first class degree and I would be happy to share them with you. These tips include shortcuts to researching and referencing, and writing tips for those who experience difficulty while completing reports or essays. I can help you structure your assignments in a academic manner that will impress your teachers and can double check your assignments correcting any mistakes.

Personal Description:
I am passionate about helping young people to learn and develop themselves. I have over 10 years experience working with children in a variety of roles, ranging from Deputy Director of Youth Camps to private tutor for academic studies and violin.

I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for learning in order to nurture their curiosity. Although I am very organised and task-focused, my methods are based on making learning fun, positive and engaging, as this has shown to work best in my previous roles.

In my free time, I have a passion for music and I play first violin in an amateur orchestra based in London. I also love travelling, learning new languages and experiencing new cultures whenever possible.

As far as my aspirations, I am currently working on setting up an organisation aimed at helping young women get into the technology sector.

Teaching Experience:

I have extensive experience tutoring young people in France. Between 2007 and 2011 I worked with a number of students on a variety of subjects, ranging from year 5 to year 13. This ranged from general support for younger pupils and subject-focused tuition for A-Level students. I also currently give private French tuition to adults in London.

I worked with all of my students for at least one year, helping them to get a better grasp and understanding of the disciplines they were having difficulties with. I have always succeeded in my task of helping them to improve and reach a new level of achievement by setting challenging yet achievable targets. With one student, I helped her to discover the beauty of Spanish (a subject she had little interest in) and to get top marks for her A-level. Another I worked with across all disciplines and helped her to successfully pass her GCSE equivalents when she was predicted to perform poorly.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very passionate about tutoring and able to adapt to any challenges and find a solution that works for the individual student. I like to explore new ways of learning and find a way that helps the student to understand and appreciate concepts and ideas that they previously found complicated and to build on existing capacities.

I have worked both through agencies and directly with families and have received consistent praise for my work and dedication with my students. I am used to working with families with high expectations and understand the importance of a good communication with the parents as well as the student to keep them in the loop of the progress made and the steps implemented to reach the target set.

Personal Description:
I am a conscientious, patient, enthusiastic, sociable and highly motivated person who is reliable, responsible and hard working. As a teacher of italian I can say that I chose to do this job because I like to know about languages and different culturures and during long years of travel around Europe and Middle East, I realized that languages are important to tie people in the world. I have an excellent knowledge of my mother language which is Italian, the grammar an also of the different dialects that are scattered throughout Italy. I am courious to find differences between words, to know historical reasons and development of languages. Italian is a beautiful language, the sound is warm, like a song and during the last years I have found hundreds of people that want to learn it. That is why I decide to teach, people want to be able to talk with anyone, whatever their nationality. For me languages teaching is synonymous with cultural exchange: by fostering and interest in language, we stimulate intercultural awareness and empathy for others. I taught italian to different people with different ages, cultural background( arabic, bengali, european) and different life experiences and I developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to achieve targets and results following a personal method depending on difficulties and abilities to facilitate their learning.
Amongst my many hobbies are several sports, including football, run, volleyball and high jump.
I love to write poetry, just because is my way to vent different feelings; reading, specially essays and middle eastern historical books.
I love to travel around the world and getting in touch with different cultures, in particular, I really like to know what differs from culture from the others as regard the social aspect of daily life and just as the food, language and family relations and interpersonal skills. I am really intrested in arabic culture.
I love to cook and try recipes from other countries.
I am very friendly so i love spend time with people and socialise and help them when they needed, specially during my teaching job even I always try to be professional.

Teaching Experience:

*Italian tutor freelance at all levels;
*Italian teacher trainee, London- UK
October 2014
I taught 10 hours of italian lessons as L2 during my training in CELTA (teaching italian as foreign language to adults) to beginner and total beginner classes level (A1) and intermediate level (A1.1/ A1.2)

*Italian teacher, Rome- Italy
I taught private italian lessons as L2 to adults at different levels (from A1 to C2)
I taught italian as L2 in a class of Bengali adults for a voluntary purposes association.

٭Translator freelance, Rome - Italy and London - UK
Constant and actual job on request.

Tutoring Approach:

I usually apply and i strongly believe in an inductive method "spiral" dividing the teaching materials in different lessons and working cyclically on the different levels of learning(written and spoken comprehension, writing production and oral production);
I give attention to details and needs of the students and how to work with different levels and different learning skills;
I alwaysprogram, before lessons, some activities with a detailed lesson plan and interactive material;
Use of grammar books when needed.

Personal Description:
I've just finished a position as a researcher in pure maths at Lancaster University, and will be based in Bellshill, near Glasgow, and available to tutor in the area between mid-March and September, when I'll move to Clermont-Ferrand in France to start a new research position. Before Lancaster, I completed a doctorate in mathematics at Oxford.

Teaching Experience:

I have extensive experience tutoring Mathematics at the Standard Grade, Higher and Advanced Higher levels (Scottish equivalent of GCSE and A-level), and at AS and A-level. I have also been a teaching assistant and college tutor for several undergraduate Mathematics courses, across a number of topics in algebra and analysis and at all levels, at Oxford. In addition to this teaching experience, I have also assisted in giving undergraduate admissions interviews in Mathematics at Oriel College, Oxford, and so would be able to help students wishing to apply to Oxford in the nature and content of undergraduate maths interviews.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach in tutoring is oriented around the student: their expectations, background knowledge and way of thinking; and what they see as most important to focus on, be it a particular part of mathematics, or a certain type of problem. While it is useful and necessary for students to be familiar with certain recipes and templates for solving different types of problems, ideally, the aim is to give them a deeper understanding of the ideas behind the material they learn and the problems they are set. This provides a much firmer basis for an appreciation of mathematics and a greater problem solving ability.

Personal Description:
My name is Ian and I would be a female tutor. I was born in Malaysia and I have travelled to New Zealand and Australia for academic and research purposes. I have recently passed my PhD Viva and currently preparing for a major move to Orkney Islands. Even though English is not my first language, I have a great understanding in the subject of Organic Chemistry, I have ample tips for studying chemistry along side with basic knowledge in Math.

Teaching Experience:

I was a Campus Coach during my academic years in New Zealand. I would help 1st and 2nd year university students from our science department with their studies. This include giving them motivation to learn, tips for note-taking, managing time meeting all kind of assignments, giving advice on who they should approach for more academic and social help.

Recently, I was a lab demonstrator and Chemistry tutor during my academic year at University of Glasgow. I assisted students in the safe execution of the experiment, safe and proper operation and handling of lab equipment, chemicals and glassware. I was actively engaged with the students in discussions about the experiment. I also collected and grade pre-lab assignments in a timely manner, enter grades in record book, and circulate to give individual feedback to students. In addition, I was responsible for reporting any problems/incidents/inconsistencies immediately to the instructor and replenish/prepare any chemicals or supplies if asked upon with help from the technicians. I had the first-hand experience as a marker of assignments and lab reports, so I will know what to expect from a good to excellent answers to given questions.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually.

I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student's understanding and technique.

Feel free to drop me a line if you need help with your homework. If there is any single topic of Chemistry you need some clarification and understanding, don't delay!

Personal Description:
A warm welcome to students and parents,

Teaching has always been my passion and now I am very delighted that I can use my teaching ability to help children achieve their full potential on an everyday basis.

I have been tutoring children over the last four years from Nursery to GCSE level within the Coventry area. I have also worked in a number of schools as a full time qualified teacher. I always receive positive feedback from clients with my most memorable being "Miss J always goes that extra mile to help bridge the gaps in one's academic learning journey". Having moved from secondary school, straight to completing my A-levels and then onto university, I have developed a wide range of knowledge in helping children tackle their weaknesses, embrace their strengths and take pride in their learning achievements.

Teaching Experience:

Tutoring children is my full time profession, which has enabled me through time to develop carefully chosen activities to maximise every child's learning potential. After graduating with a teaching degree from university, I decided to go straight into teaching in schools. I really enjoyed this and developed many skills within the teaching world. After sometime, I decided I wanted to help children on a 1:1 basis as this method was so effective for those children that would not show their potential in school, or for those who were shy… or where teachers would not be able to pay attention to specific children because of the thirty in the class. Now, I teach children at diverse levels and I really enjoy it.

Within this four year period, I have taught and excelled over 200 students at different times. This has been really rewarding for me, as I am a natural teacher at heart and I really do take my work seriously.

Consequently, I have also had 3 years of university experience in the world of teaching, covering all aspects of the national curriculum, assessments and independent learning strategies to challenge children.

Every term, I give children mock term assessments as integral preparation to help consolidate their learning. This enables me to know how much they have learnt from my sessions and what areas they still need to improve on. This method is also the key for exam success.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is very systematic, however at the same time I adapt to the specific child's needs. Every child I have tutored so far, I have built a bond with. I hold a fair, firm and fun attitude towards learning.

The key services I offer on a regular basis within the tuition fee: block spelling tests, reading books every week depending on ability, phonics practice for the younger children to prepare for their year 1 phonics tests and finally, previous exam practice materials in all core subjects for KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE.

In addition, children are rewarded for their hard work through different motivational techniques and prizes through a tally chart system.

Every session entails 2-3 pieces of homework and I also give full written or verbal feedback to parents depending on their requirements.

I usually travel to clients residence or sometimes they come to my residence.

My aim is to not only teach children but to also help them enjoy their learning - by creating a safe, fun and secure learning environment.

Thank you for taking out the time to read my profile.

Kind regards,

Jay
