I usually start with the current topics that student is studying in the school and explain to the student that topic and related background knowledge. As I teach one to one, my pace is faster than school and we usually finish the topic in one or sometimes two classes. And then we do previous topics and I explain doubts on those topics. I am a highly motivated and capable mathematics graduate of the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick working full-time as a maths tutor, teaching mostly A/AS Level, STEP, and MAT with some GCSE. I get along well with students using a friendly enthusiastic manner and patient guidance, allowing me to engage them in a subject that many (sadly) find difficult or tedious to deal with. I've had significant success helping students to see why this subject is exciting and beautiful as well as extremely useful. Passing a maths exam can be stressful and overwhelming at times.
