Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is that it is better to talk to the child about the topic, as I find this is far more effective than asking them to simply read out of a text book. I was a member of the gifted and talented program in my school so learnt how to best organise school work notes and how to best prepare for exams via methods such as mind maps. I am extremely strict as I find this method of teaching to not benefit the child, and I believe that rewards are deserved when the child does well. I can tutor specifically to what will gain high marks in exams, I myself was taught how to achieve this throughout my education. As examiners often look for more than just an exemplary knowledge of the subject, especially in essay written subjects. |
