My personal and vocational interests are varied and range from Gardening to International Politics. My main aim is to ensure that tutor and tutee respect each other and are able to talk to each other properly. While passing exams is important, creating a space in which ideas and thoughts can be shared is also necessary to assist with the learning process. I have always approached education and learning in two ways: the importance of the subject and achievement in examination. I feel that it is necessary to explore the relevance and importance of it outside of the directly examined area. I think for all subjects it is essential to pay attention to the broader issues around it in the media, in society and in history. Through this method not only are avenues of interest opened, but a more holistic learning made possible.

Alongside this it is necessary to keep focused upon the primary end of education in our times: Results. As achievement is measured in examination results, preparation in this area should play a central role. I always believe exam practice and learning with exam questions in mind is the safest and most effective way of guaranteeing results. This does not mean blindly learning exam answers but rather enabling learning through looking at exam skills and technique.
